Why does my iPhone ask for a passcode every time I run a backup?

Starting with iOS 16.1, Apple requires the device passcode for every backup as a security measure. ScribeHold cannot bypass this. The prompt comes from iOS, not from us.

Does ScribeHold work with encrypted backups?

Yes. Set a backup password on your iPhone the first time, and ScribeHold will use it for every subsequent incremental backup.

What data does ScribeHold read?

How do I cancel?

Manage or cancel your subscription anytime from the billing portal linked on your account page, or email us and we'll take care of it. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues through the end of your current billing period.
